Issue:
TIME magazine’s recent cover equating the
“war on global warming” to World War II -- and desecrating the iconic photo
of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima -- is one of the most blatant examples of
the media’s outrageous bias on the Global Warming issue.

Despite thousands of scientists who now are questioning the media's
predictions of a global warming catastrophe, the media are pushing the
radical climate alarmist agenda without reservation. That’s why the Media
Research Center is rallying citizens across the nation to HOLD THE MEDIA
ACCOUNTABLE to stop biased reporting on environmental issues and allow for both
sides of this issue to be heard.
Demand Apology From TIME
and Tell The Media To Report The Truth On Global Warming
MRC’s Action team is gathering petitions for
delivery to TIME headquarters demanding an apology to every World War II
veteran for desecrating the Iwo Jima photo. Your petition will also be
presented to other members of the media as events warrant.
The Petition States:
I am outraged that TIME magazine has defamed our
World War II veterans by equating the “war” on
global warming with the heroic efforts of our
nation’s military. I am demanding an apology from
TIME for defacing the photo of the Marines raising
the flag on Iwo Jima and saying that the radical
environmental agenda is the “new red, white and
blue.”
In addition, I am joining with other Americans who
are standing against any and all efforts by the
media to promote the unfounded Global Alarmist
agenda while silencing any criticism or debate about
this issue. The environment is too important of an
issue for the media to take sides and push a
specific climate alarmist agenda. I am calling on
the media to report the truth on Global Warming --
including the well-documented criticism of the
catastrophic climate alarmist theories.
